Elizabeth T. Harris Brennan passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, in Staten Island, at the age of 83.

Born on August 13, 1942, Elizabeth lived a life centered on compassion, family, and dedication to helping others. She earned her master’s degree from New York University and devoted her career to counseling and supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse, touching countless lives through her kindness, wisdom, and understanding.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of John Brennan and the loving heart of her family. She treasured time spent together with those she loved most and created lasting memories through family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and simple moments of togetherness.

She was the devoted mother of Gerardine Murphy-Piscopo (Dominick), Mark Murphy, Marion Murphy, Holly Murphy, and Anthony Musetti (Susan), and cherished stepmother to Frank Brennan, Jimmy Brennan, and John Brennan. Elizabeth was the loving grandmother of 27 grandchildren and proud great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Elizabeth had a passion for beach days, was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees, and could often be found enjoying the shopping networks and keeping up with her favorite programs. She especially adored her beloved dog, Snuggles, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. Her warmth, humor, and caring nature made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

Elizabeth will be remembered most for her deep love of family, her generous spirit, and the comfort she brought to so many throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
