Dina Sessa, 74, of Graniteville, a retired executive assistant who gave so much to her family and friends, died Thursday at home with family in Philipsburg, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, Dina settled in Graniteville in 1974.
Dina worked for Richmond County Bank (now Flagstar Bank) for more than 30 years, retiring officially in 2025.
She enjoyed riding her bicycle and spending time reading at the beach. She was an animal lover and was known to care for neighborhood cats (and sometimes the occasional neighborhood racoon).
Her favorite thing was spending time with her family. She loved visiting with her daughters and their kids in upstate NY and NJ whenever time allowed. She was an incredible mother and grandmother, always going above and beyond to be present and supportive.
Dina is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Barresi and Danielle Sessa and her four grandchildren.

Dina was such a wonderful person.
I have known her for almost 28 years during the time we worked at RCSB.
Her appendicitis attack actually saved my job when I was due to be laid off way back when. At that time I was moved to assist with covering her position in the Executive office.
We had many great times together during those years on Castleton Ave.
After I moved away and worked remotely we kept in touch on a monthly basis, even when she retired.
I will miss our long conversations catching up on everything you can think of.
Sincere condolences to her daughters, Nicole and Danielle and their families. Your Mom will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace with your Dad. Blessings and prayers to all of you.
