1943 ~ 2026
Albert Louis Santiago, lovingly known as Al, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born in Manhattan, New York, to Louis Albert Santiago and Louisa Villa Santiago, Al was of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent and grew up in the Bronx, where he spent countless hours playing stickball in the streets, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
After graduating high school, Al spent time as a merchant seaman, traveling the world and gaining an appreciation for different people, places, and cultures. He later became involved in civil and union worker rights and built a long career in the electrical field as a proud member of Local 3 IBEW. Over the years, he earned the respect of those around him for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication, eventually becoming known for his success in project management and estimating.
He found lasting love with his soulmate, Jeri Santiago. Together, they traveled the world, shared unforgettable experiences, and built a life rooted in love, partnership, and adventure.
Al was a devoted father who taught by example, showing the importance of hard work, kindness, and being genuine. He also spent time coaching the St. John Villa baseball and basketball teams. A die-hard Yankees and New York Giants fan, Al lived with humor, heart, and an unmatched work ethic.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Jeri Santiago; his children, Benny, Hector, Jennifer, and Louis; his daughter-in-law, Amanda; his sister, Brenda; his sister-in-law, Sara; his nieces, Jennifer and Arianna; and a host of family and friends.
Al will be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving, and unforgettable man whose presence touched all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in his family and in the love he gave so freely.

Albert was more than just a friend; a brother in love and spirit. We spent many years together sharing and caring for our families. God has a way of putting people in our lives who make our journey wonderful, exciting and rewarding. Al was that person. We were so bless to have had the opportunity to share amazing times and trips. As we continue our lives, his memories will forever be in our hearts. Our brother will never be forgotten. We love you
So sorry to hear of your loss.
