Antonio Clemente Bonoan Jr. passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 in Staten Island, New York. Antonio, or affectionately known by Tony or Tonying to his family and friends, passed peacefully at home in the company of his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Antonio was born and raised in the Philippines on January 4 1938, son of Dr. Antonio Bonoan Sr. and Vicenta Clemente. He graduated from the University of the East, Philippines with a BA in Accounting. Antonio worked as a CPA and even ventured as an owner of a magazine company in the Philippines. In 1984, he migrated to the United States to pursue the American dream: a better quality of life for his family. After settling in Staten Island, Tony continued his accounting career for 25 years in New York but his most impactful legacy remains his family. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 54 years, Librada Rustia Bonoan, his children: Carlo, Norman, Gary (Sandy), Katrina (Vitaliy), 10 grandchildren: Christian, Patrick, Marcus, Julia, Jason, Nico, Audrey, Miranda, Eva, Hanna, his brother, Dr. Gervasio Bonoan (Dr. Carmen Bonoan) , and his sister-in-law, Maria Marta Sibal Bonoan. Tony was predeceased by his older brother, Ricardo Bonoan, and his eldest son, Albert Bonoan.
Tony was a good man and will forever be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, warm heart, caring nature, loyalty, and his impeccable style. He lived a blessed life that was full of love from his family, extended family, and friends from all over the world. We are comforted that he now joins his beloved son, his family, and dear friends who have passed before him in the Kingdom of Heaven.
