Rose E. Koerner

Devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Rose E. Koerner passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the age of 87.

Born in Staten Island, New York, Rose graduated from Port Richmond High School and worked at several different companies.  While working at Wallerstein factory in Mariners Harbor, she met her future husband, Clifford, who would become of husband and father to their 3 wonderful daughters.  Rose continued to work until she retired from Chase Manhattan Bank in 1992 as a Secretary.  Rose’s hobby was crocheting but most importantly, Rose truly enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose is predeceased by her beloved husband, Clifford in 2010.

She is survived by her 3 loving daughters, Susan (Joseph) Caputo, Nancy (Douglas) Zielinski and Barbara (Greg) Koerner-Fox.  She was a loving sister to Carol Roosevelt, Catherine Knapp and Charles Russell.  She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home at 1289 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY on Tuesday at 10am followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery.  Family and Friends are welcome to visit on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. 

In Lieu of flowers, family has asked for donations to the Visiting Nurse Service of New York Hospice, Tax ID #13-3189926, 107 East 70th St, New York, NY 1002 or family has asked to take a loved one out to lunch.
