Mary Margaret Lamagna, 66

A lifelong Staten Islander and avid voice-to-text user, Mary spoke her final text in this mortal realm on Monday, May 3, 2021. Mary is survived by her two sons, Michael and Brian; daughters-in-law, Michele and Miriam; four grandchildren – Gryphyn, Giuseppe, Aurora and Samuel; her sister-in-law Virginia “Ginny” Tannacore and brother-in-law Frank Larson; a lot of hungry squirrels and a dog that now begs from the table in Virginia.

Throughout her amazing lifetime she held many respected titles – Daughter, Sister, Daughter-in-law, Mother, Matriarch of the Heir Apparent to the Lamagna Legacy, Aunt, Soccer Mom, Baseball Mom, Boy Scout Mom, Marine Mom, Day Care Angel, College Mom, Nanny, Loyal Costco Employee, Flannel Aficionado, and Shopping Enthusiast, to name a few.

Her life was an example of the importance of family, fortitude and the ability to stay positive regardless of the difficulties you are facing. To Mary, nothing in life was insurmountable, except her dislike for Amazon and the incessant solicitations from the ASPCA.

Her family will miss the chronicles of the life and times of their favorite Costco employee, the joy she brought to everyone she met, and the love that only Mary could give.

Services were entrusted to the care of Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home., 1289 Forest Avenue.  Family and friends are invited to view on Saturday from 1pm-4pm & 6pm-9pm. Private cremation to follow.  Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at www.cherubinifunerals.com
