Lois Saddler

The Saddler Family is heartbroken to announce that Lois Jane Saddler, 86, passed peacefully on May 17, 2023, due to heart issues.

Born and raised on Staten Island, she moved with her daughter, Lori, to Wanaque, NJ in 2020. Lois was a mother and a wife above all, dedicating her love, mind, and patience, to what was probably one of the most difficult and challenging, but joyous and rewarding experiences and moments that are the Saddler Family. She extended this love not only to her own family, but to numerous others over the years, becoming a loving guardian to children, which transformed caretaker to lifelong friend. With her husband Edward, she raised three children who adored and respected them. Two grandchildren followed, and in 2022, a beautiful great-granddaughter. They were married for 60 years before Edward’s passing in 2016.

Her passing leaves holes in the hearts of her survivors, daughter Lori, granddaughter Jessica, grandson Thomas, his wife Amanda (DeCondo) and great-granddaughter Kayla, and daughter-in-law Debra. She is predeceased by her husband Edward James, and sons Mark Edward and Brian Keith. Mom, you will be remembered for your great sense of humor, devotion to your husband and children, your loyalty to your friends. We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous outreach of sympathy, condolences, and assistance that we have received. You will never know how much it means to us.

The wake will be held at Cherubini-McInerney, 1289 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10302, on Friday, May 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will start at the funeral home on Saturday May 27 at 9:30 am, continuing to burial at 11:00 AM at Oceanview Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
