Lillian B. Gjertsen

Lillian B. Gjertsen born October 3, 1927 in Brooklyn NY to Harriet and John Bergquist. She married Finn Gjertsen of Sandejford Norway and Brooklyn NY. Lillian was born and raised in Brooklyn NY where she raised 3 sons. She was very active in the Norwegian community and in Sporting Club Gjoa in particular. Finn and Lillian moved to Staten Island 30 years ago where they lived the rest of their lives. Lillian is predeceased by her husband Finn and grandson Daniel. She is survived by her three sons Robert, Karl and Harald, her grandson Christian and their spouses and her great granddaughter Fiona. Funeral from the Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home Inc., 1289 Forest Ave. On Monday, 3/16/2020, a funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 3/15/2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
