Kevin was born in the Bronx on May 31, 1957 to the late Lawrence & Mary Hughes. He has three brothers, Billy, Larry and Michael; two sisters, Teri and Laura; and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Kevin joined the US Navy in September 1977. He was a Petty Officer 3rd class. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Award, Humanitarian Service Award and Good Consultant Medal. He was honorably discharged in September 1981.
Kevin worked for Staten Island Railway from 1989 to retiring in 2018. He was a foreman in the electrical maintenance division. He became President of Smart Local 1440.
Kevin married the love of his life, Donna in 1987. In 1991 they were blessed with a daughter Kellie and in 1993 blessed with Daniel.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his son Daniel and his daughter Kellie Caminiti and son-in-law Christopher Caminiti and a soon to be Grandson in March.

It is so true when they say God takes the good ones. Kenny and I will truly miss you. I don’t have any brothers or sisters. So whenever you said hi sis to me and I said hey bro, it meant so much to me. You were a good husband, good father and best brother n law anyone could ask for. Kevin, sometimes live throws you curveballs and this is one of them. While we’ve met several times I never had the pleasure of being around you as often as I would have liked. That doesn’t mean I didn’t know you it means that I missed sharing a part of life with you that would’ve been awesome. What I have is a short but cherishable memory of you my friend. May the Lord have you in his hands.
