John Peter DeMartinis age 87, was called home on November 13, 2023. John was born to John and Mae DeMartinis on October 5, 1936 in Staten Island. Brother to Marian Primiano (John) and loving husband to Phyllis (Pisano). John was a proud father to John (Christine) and Linda. John was a loving grandfather to Matthew, Troy (Sydney), Cody (Kelly), Melissa, and Samantha (Christopher) and great grandfather to Erin. Uncle, cousin and friend to many.

 

John graduated from New Dorp High School and was in the US Air Force. John met his wife while working at his cousin’s fish market. They were married July 3, 1960 and spent 63 amazing years together building many memories. John worked for hostess cupcakes, department of sanitation, scalici’s florist and meals on wheels. John was originally a faithful parishioner of St. Rita’s and later St. Mary’s of the Assumption, St. Adalbert’s and St. Roch’s. John loved his Atlantic City trips with his wife and friends. John loved sports especially his NY teams+. John enjoyed time with his family and would nicely tell them to “pack em up” at the end of the night.
