  1. I don´t remember when I met Jimmy, because it seems that I´ve always known him. We have been friends since first grade, we went to Blessed Sacrament school for eight years and then Port Richmond HS. He would do anything for a laugh, even if it got him in trouble. Like when the two of us got caught by the Fire Marshall in the bathroom of the mini mall, standing on the garbage pail with a lit magazine, setting off the sprinkler system.
Or, when we dug a 5´ deep hole in the path at Northfield and covered it with thin sticks and leaves. When we went back, it was all disturbed. We were bent over fixing it when an old lady showed up yelling “you bastards, I almost broke my f´ing neck”.
We played basketball in his yard, stick ball at Chemical Bank and football pole to pole in the street. And, let´s not forget throwing snowballs at cars at Robert Hall`s Clothing Store on Forest Ave., even the adults would join in.
But, we never got in trouble because we had fake names already made up. The cops would separate us and ask our names. He was always Jim Ciaramello and I was Dave Blake. Sorry Rob and Joe, our neighbors.
We hung out at Northfield, Pinball Inferno & Cullen´s. He was tough as nails.
Whenever I think of Jimmy, I see his shit-eating grin and hear his sadistic laugh.
    He was always my friend,
    Dave Floch

  6. Sandra, Aunt Dot, Little Jimmy, Mary and Michael,
I am sad about James. He was always smiling, he always cared, and he was proud of all of us. Heart of gold. I will remember his beaming smile and those sparkly eyes. I swear he could charm his way out of anything. I was just sharing with Mary how some of my most favorite memories as a kid was all of us sitting around Gram and Grandfather’s kitchen table. As a kid it started out pretty boring, but then once Mary, Michael, Thomas and James came in everything changed. I was so excited to see my favorite cousins, the room would fill with laughter, and I always felt good when we were all together. Those memories I will always cherish. Sandra, you meant the world to James. I pray for all of you, cherish the great times, take a moment to cry, but also take a moment to smile. James wouldn’t want it any other way. Love you all! XXOO Dorine, Chip, Carly and Caden
