November 27, 1961 ~ December 13, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Olivo, on December 13th, 2024. A beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away surrounded by her children, grandson and brother.
She was a loving mother to her two daughters, Lisa and Theresa, and a proud grandmother to her cherished (favorite) grandson Tony. Susan’s love for her family knew no bounds, as she has left behind her nieces and nephews, Rosemarie, Donny, David and Dawn. A great nephew Jayden and a great niece, Bailey.
She also had siblings whom she loved deeply, Anthony and Roseann. Through the hard times and good times, sibling love is a different type of love. Her sister, with whom she shared countless memories, will live on forever through the stories and fun times they had together.
Susan was known for her larger-than-life personality, her humor, and her brutally honest nature. She had a huge heart and was always there for those she loved, especially her best friend, Jane, who has also passed away. Together, they enjoyed many fun times sharing Malibu rum, weekend get togethers, laughter, and stories, creating memories that will never be forgotten. Their daughters, Jamie and Lisa, grew up as best friends, more like sisters, and Susan took great joy in watching their bond grow over the years. Susan sadly passed away within a week of her grandson’s other grandmother, Denise. The two of them fought very similar health conditions as well.
Professionally, Susan worked for the Board of Education as a matron, caring for children with disabilities. Her nurturing spirit and devotion to others made a lasting impact on those she served. Though health challenges forced her into early retirement, Susan never gave up her fight, remaining strong through her illnesses until the very end.
Susan was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her parents, Josephine and Anthony, and her Uncle Joey, and brother-in-law Joe who had been waiting to embrace her with open arms. She is now free from pain, living her best life in Heaven, surrounded by the love and peace she so richly deserves.
Susan will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, humor, and unwavering strength will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will never be forgotten, and her memory will forever bring warmth and joy to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, Susan. You are loved beyond measure.
