Michael was a talented artist who painted, sang and played the piano beautifully. He loved music, live theater, movies and all art forms. He amassed and shared his encyclopedic knowledge of actors’ careers, singers’ repertoires and other facts about the performing arts, both before and after the internet. He used this knowledge when he worked at ASCAP and HBO. After retirement, he worked at St. Francis Church in Manhattan. He had many fond memories of time with friends he made at ASCAP and HBO, playing and singing at Spindletop, and helping at St Francis. New York was his home for over 60 years, and he relished all the arts the city had to offer. In lieu of flowers, please enjoy a play, a song, a movie, or a smile and think of Michael.
