
Brenda Jean Moat, 70, of Staten Island, NY passed away early Saturday morning at Richmond University Medical Center.
Brenda was born in Manhattan, NY to Marie DeLisio, and Benjamin Bokunewicz. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended Abraham Lincoln High School.
Brenda was a homemaker, who loved cooking and taking care of wherever she lived. Her staples of the kitchen were her meatballs and chicken cutlets. Anyone who tried her cooking were never disappointed. Brenda met her husband Douglas on New Years Eve 1996, and were married 10 plus months later at St. John’s Lutheran church. She attended St. John’s for numerous years, holding a position in the Ladies’ Guild, teaching Sunday School, as well as teaching Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her Husband Douglas, 3 sons, Michael, Paul, and Stephen, and her daughter Lisa. Her sister Frances, and her brother in law William. Her niece Catherine, and Nephew William Jr, as well as other extended family.
Family and friends are invited to attend the wake on Monday November 29, 2021 at Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home from 5pm-9pm. There will be an 8:00pm service done at the Funeral Home by the current Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Bagnall.
