Angelique “Leaky” Priddie
February 26, 1980 to May 18, 2025
Angelique “Leaky” Priddie was born on February 26, 1980, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, to Justice Priddie and the late Charles Preston.
In 1988, at the age of 8, Angelique relocated to Staten Island, New York, with her family, where she attended P.S. 44, I.S. 72, and Tottenville High School. .
Growing up, Leaky was her mother’s shadow—wherever you saw one, the other wasn’t far behind. She had the kind of personality you never forget: bold, hilarious, and always ready to make someone laugh.
Leaky was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Tequita and Zion. They were her everything, and her world revolved around them.
Later in life, Leaky became a dedicated and compassionate mental health aide. She spent several years caring for and helping others, always with a deep passion for making a difference in people’s lives.
She was known for her delicious cooking, her love of music, and the joy she found in spending time with family and friends. Her presence could light up any room—her energy was impossible to miss. Leaky had a special gift for bringing people together. Whenever she entered a room, you could feel her warmth, her authenticity, and her love for life.
Leaky, loved the Lord and regularly attended Brighton Heights Reformed Church with her mother, Justice. She was eager to learn and grow in her faith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her daughter Tequita Priddie, her son Zion Williams, her mother Justice Priddie, and her sisters Inez Priddie, Leshelle Walker, and Sunday Priddie. She is also survived by her nieces Princess Walker, Ayanna Scruggs, and Sade Scruggs; her great-nieces Madison and Charm; and a host of extended family and dear friends who will forever remember her hugs, her jokes, her voice, and the love she gave so effortlessly.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in everything we do. We love you forever and miss you every day.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
