Rose Gerace

Rose Gerace (Pfister) passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024 at the remarkable age of 102. Born on May 30, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY, to Benedetto Fioriello and Maria Colosuonno, Rose lived a full and vibrant life.

Rose was the beloved wife of the late William Pfister and Frank Gerace. She was a devoted mother to her son, Edward Pfister (Carol Jo Nelson) and daughter Bernadette Sullivan (Daniel). She cherished her sister Mary Spadaro (Joseph) and was a proud grandmother to Ted Pfister, Tracy Turner, Daniel Sullivan, Kim Justesen. Rose’s love extended to her eight great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her late years.  She was also loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday from 4pm-8pm at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home, 1289 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10302. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11am at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, followed by an interment at Moravian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, reflecting Rose’s lifelong compassion and generosity.

    She was Ted and Tracy grand mashe spent many of holidays with us as kids

    After her son’s divorce from my aunt both of whom are my God parents.

    She was always so kind to me*

    When I got married and she met my wife she always had so many kind words for my wife and I.
    G ma rose always looked exactly the same every time I saw her she never aged.

    It’s been a couple of years since I saw her but I will always have great memories of her at holidays.

    102 years old you are a celebrated woman saw so much lived thru so much.
