  1. Dear Barbara, Sara and Spencer,
I am so sorry that you have lost this good man. He was always smiling and so friendly. You must have such happy memories. He is and will continue to be missed at Richmond County.

    Dear Barbara,

  3. Barbara. Sorry to just learn of Ken’s passing. He was a friend, a great boss and great leader at Trinity although unappreciated at the forced end of his service there. Wishing you all the memories of a long & fruitful marriage.

  4. I am very sorry not to have met Ken. We found out about five years ago that we were cousins by marriage – his aunt Idina Dorothy Ellis, known on our side as Dot but to Ken as Jenny, was married to my uncle Frederick Clayton. They married in England, and emigrated in about 1929 and settled in Staten Island, where they lived until they died in the 1970s..
I believe that Ken knew them well and was very supportive of them when they grew older and vulnerable.
I have several long letters from him, and photos he sent me, which gave a detailed story of his family and our links. He was most interesting and helpful, and I hoped for an opportunity to visit him and Barbara, but for a number of reasons – the Covid pandemic being one – that never happened.
    My commiserations to Ken’s family.
    Richard Clayton
