Elva Jacobson a native islander passed away peacefully this past Monday. She lived in her home on Kemball Ave. for 65 years before entering Arbor Terrace, an assisted living facility. Elva was an extraordinary woman
A graduate of Curtis high school, Elva attended the College Of Staten Island during her middle years and dedicated herself, to earning a bachelors degree at the age of 52
Elva and her late husband Scotty were pillars of Faith United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader of mystery books and also dedicated a great amount of time to her gardening. Being a pet lover her house was the home to many dogs and cats.
Most importantly Elva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother , great grandmother and friend. She cared for and touched the lives of so many during her long and remarkable life.
Elva is survived by her daughter Jenine, son in law Bob and son Kurt. In addition she will live in the memories of 5 grandsons and 11 great grandchildren.
