Mary Covella, 86, of New Brighton peacefully passed away on November 27, 2016. Born in Mariners Harbor, she graduated from Port Richmond High School. She was an avid member of St. Mary\’s Assumption Church for over 50 yrs where she sang in the choir. Mary enjoyed her trips to AC and adored spending her time with her family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry A. Brusda in 1983, her second husband, Charles S. Corvella in 2009. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Jeanette Farina, two brothers, James Lumetta, Michael Lumetta and her sister, Rose Lumetta. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Caruselle, a sister, Susan Colarossi, her grandchildren, Jeanne Marie, Steven, Anthony, Vincent and Jenna. One great grandchild, Jaymus. Mary is also survived by several stepchildren and many step grandchildren.
Funeral will be from Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home, 1289 Forest Ave. (formerly Meislohn- Silvie) on Friday at 9:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at Mount Carmel Church in Port Richmond at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Moravian Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m.
