Frank X. Donadio

Frank X. Donadio passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, after a long illness.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Deirdre (née O’Connor), daughter, Dana, and son, Francis. He was a beloved brother to Ray, Mark, and Clair “Cookie.” He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Born and raised on Staten Island, Frank attended Monsignor Farrell High School and John Jay College before working for many years as a revenue officer for the IRS. In his youth, Frank was proud to be an Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that reflected his dedication, character, and perseverance. He was a driver’s education instructor, and liked working on cars, and was also an avid runner, enjoying the challenge and freedom that running brought him. He was a member of his school’s marching band, where he played the trombone, and enjoyed music and singing, particularly Doo Wop and oldies.

Frank also loved camping and enjoyed the outdoors, and made many memories and friendships at Kymer’s Campground in New Jersey over four decades. In addition to being a camper, he was an active participant in its social life and volunteered his time and help with numerous actives over the years; he especially enjoyed calling bingo.

Above all, Frank will be remembered for his love for his family, his independent personality, his generous spirit, and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:45 AM at St. Theresa R.C. Church, followed by burial at Moravian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.https://www.nationalmssociety.org/
