Colin W. Howard

Colin was born on June 29, 1947, in Barbados WI.  He is the second son of Mildred Howard and Byron Lowe.

He immigrated to the United States to live with his mother (Mildred Howard Lowe Smith), older brother Horace W. Howard (deceased) and younger siblings Virginia Smith (Ginny) and Benjamin Smith 3rd (Jr.).  Another Brother Cecile B. Lowe followed shortly after.

After finishing his education, he started working for Bell Atlantic, before they were forced to split up.  His intelligence and amicable nature caused him to advance quickly through the corporate ranks.  He then met the love of his life, Evadney.  They were married and lived in Brooklyn New York until their first child Michelle was born.  They moved to Staten Island New York to give their children Michelle and Jeffery more room to grow and thrive.  There they made their home until both passed away.

Both Evadney (Eve) and Colin were very active in their community.  They loved their church, St, Mary and became very active, serving in various positions over the years.  Eve passed away in 2025.  Colin lost the love of his life and his best friend.  He declined rapidly after that and needed the support of a nursing home.  He was a devoted husband and father, a loving brother and uncle and a faithful friend.  He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his children Michelle and Jeffrey, 3 grandsons, 1 sister and 2 brothers, 2 sister-in- laws, 1 brother in law, 1 mother in-law, 4 nieces, 7 nephews, 3 great nieces/nephews, the congregation at St Mary and countless friends and coworkers.

He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Colin, you earned it.
