It is with sadness that the passing of Beverly Lehn (Staten Island, New York) is shared. Beverly, born on January 20, 1928, passed away on June 19, 2026.
Beverly was born on Staten Island, NY and lived her entire 98 years in the house in which she was born.
Beverly will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones, her hard work through many years and the moments that brought joy to those around her.
Beverly began her career as a bookkeeper in 1945, eventually becoming the office manager at several NYC law firms.
Beverly became a staple on the Staten Island Ferry, riding it to and from work every day for 52 years until her retirement in 1997. She made many friends throughout her career and was respected for her exemplary work ethic.
Beverly leaves behind a life of love and dedication to her family as a devoted daughter, sister and aunt.
Throughout the years Aunt Bev always remembered all of her many generations of nieces, nephews and their children either by a phone call or by sending thoughtful notes and cards.
During her 98 years, Beverly developed many friendships both in her neighborhood and her church. She was a devoted member of Willowbrook Church, garnishing many relationships and meticulously taking attendance each Sunday!
Beverly will always be remembered as an avid NY Yankees fan, consistently watching their games and critiquing their performances throughout the years.
Though Beverly is no longer present, the bonds she created, and the experiences shared will endure. Beverly’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 29th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home (1289 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10302). A burial will be held on Monday, June 29th, 2026, at the Moravian Cemetery (2205 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY 10306).

Although I didn’t see Aunt Beverly often, we kept in touch throughout my whole life. We exchanged letters, many of them she kept for years and later returned to me. 🙂 She always made me feel like I was part of the dad’s side of the family – even though we didn’t visit often. In 1976, the whole family visited Staten Island for the Independence Day celebration. Aunt Bev showed me her electric pencil sharpener…and being five years old, I thought that was pretty neat! So, each night she brought home pencils for me to sharpen. She also showed me the coffee grinder, and it was equally as fascinating to me. On one afternoon, we picked cherries at the neighbor’s house across the street. Truth be told, my brother and I ate about as many as we picked. That is until Aunt Bev told me that there could be a worm in the cherries. HA! That cured me of eating them while picking!
These memories remind me of her presence in my life – both in person and from afar – and I will miss that presence greatly.
We’ll miss you forever. Thank you for everything. Rest in Peace Miss Beverly.

I am so grateful to have had Aunt Beverly in my life. As a little girl and teenager I always looked forward to her birthday cards and letters. Then, she blessed my children, (her great, great nieces and nephews) with birthday cards filled with notes, fun puzzles cut from the newspaper and inspirational quotes. I admired her for so many things. My oldest daughter, Peyton, wore Aunt Beverly’s 8th grade graduation dress that she made, for her 8th grade confirmation. I loved Aunt Beverly very much, and thank God she was a part of my life for so long.
My deepest condolences to the family. Beverly and I spent many years in the office at Willowbrook Park Baptist Church. She was a dear friend.
RIP Beverly, you were surely 1 of a kind to everyone. We’ll miss you!
