Lawrence (Scotty) H Arminas.

Died: January 28th 2026
Age: 86
Born in Brooklyn and lived in Fort Wordsworth. He graduated from Apex Technical School (HVAC) and Turners School of Refrigeration becoming an Operating Engineer at the Broadway Theatre and Long Island University Brooklyn campus. Was a member of the I.U.O.E. local 30. “Scotty” had previously worked as an Iron worker, Bartender, Cab driver (Grant City 5), and was a member of the “21” club in Midland Beach. An avid Golfer, New York Football Giants fan and a Staten Island Touch Tackle League “Coach”. He was “always” there to help family and friends in times of need. Was a “friend of Bill” for 53 years. He Is survived by his sons Larry and Douglas, grandchildren Christopher and Angelina, daughter-in-law’s Lorraine and Theresa.

My deepest sympathy to Scotty’s family and huge circle of friends. He was a noble example what the fellowship means to people. He helped many, many members of the “friends of Bill”. He will be greatly missed.
