Martha E. Sweeney

March 28, 1940 ~ October 27, 2025 

Martha E. Sweeney, 85, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Anthony and Martha Palmiotti, Martha moved to Staten Island in 1958, where she made her home and raised her family.

Throughout her life, Martha worked as a cashier in a beauty store and as part of the kitchen staff at St. Cosmas & Damian Church. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker who took pride in caring for her family.

Martha cherished the simple joys of life—shopping trips and dinners out with her daughter-in-law, Denise, and visits to Amish Country. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially her beloved late dog, Pickles.

She is survived by her children Debra, Carol, George, and Robert, her eight grandchildren, her great-grandson, and her sister Adele Palmiotti.

She is predeceased by her husband and sisters, who we trust are welcoming her with open arms in Heaven.

Martha will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and her gentle spirit.
