Joseph “Bubba” Anger, 57, passed away on Tuesday morning. Born and raised in Port Richmond, Bubba was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and a cherished friend to many. He graduated Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical Education High School and spent his younger years playing softball for Buddy’s Wonder Bar, where he made lifelong friendships and memories. A proud New Yorker through and through, Bubba was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
For over 25 years, Bubba worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a dedicated bus driver serving Staten Island and Manhattan. Bubba’s love for family and friends, his generous spirit, and his easygoing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
He is survived by his father, Robert Anger Jr.; his brothers, David Anger, Robert Anger III, and Michael Anger; his niece, Bridget Anger; and his nephews, David Anger Jr., Tyler Anger, and Devin Anger. He is also survived by his aunt, Marie “Tisa” Hightower, his uncle Carl Hightower and his cousins, Thomas Hightower, Thomas Hanrahan, and Joseph Hanrahan. He was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAnn Anger; his uncles, Thomas “Tommy” Hanrahan and Patrick Hanrahan; and his niece, Kaitlyn Anger.
