It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Jeane Oberti, who left us on August 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jeane was the heart and soul of our family—a woman of deep strength, boundless love, and unwavering devotion. She dedicated her life to her children and granddaughter, offering her care, wisdom, and endless hugs that made everything feel better.
Born in Staten Island, Jeane was the youngest of seven siblings and grew up cherishing family, faith, and tradition. She later married August Oberti, her lifelong partner and best friend, and together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable meals.
She was known for her incredible cooking—her Sunday sauce, homemade cakes, and warm kitchen will be remembered by all who gathered around her table. She found joy in the simple things: card games, trips to Villa Roma and Wildwood, Kohr’s ice cream, Douglas Fudge, peanut butter taffy, and shopping at Fashion Bug with her granddaughter.
As a mother to Susan and August and a grandmother to Gina, she gave all of herself. Her phone calls, her stories, her presence—those are the moments we will cherish most. She never missed a birthday, never let anyone leave hungry, and never stopped showing how deeply she cared.
Jeane leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion that lives on in each of us. Her absence will be felt forever, but we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with August and her loved ones who passed before her.
She is survived by her children: Susan and August, son-in-law Kenneth, her granddaughter: Gina, many nieces and nephews, and many loving family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Augie, Susan, Kenny, Gina and Margaret. We all have many memories to hold onto. RIP Jeane
The first time I met her she offered me a piece of cake and iced tea which I politely refused, She affectionately then told me to go f##k myself and that was the start of a wonderful relationship – Go figure! Her laughter and grain pie will be sorely missed! Rest in peace chubby, love Junior ❤️
Please accept my sincerest condolences to the family. I met Jeane many years ago as a childhood (and still lifelong) friend of her niece Margaret. She was the sweetest and dearest person and always welcomed me to her home. I remember many pizza dinners at her home and so many family members. May she rest in peace eternally.
Just remembering all the things we did together at the big round table with Jean and her sister Margret and Daughter Margret Gina, Susie having a feast on Sundays you will be deeply missed. PS I didn’t think you can do these things today. Love you guys take care.
Kenny and Sue,
